Anyone got any thoughts on the pros and cons of constant current
against pulsed driving of bright LEDs.

Is there anything special or important to consider in the circuitry
for the pulsed drive, any examples would would helpful.

Thanks

Tom

Well, one will eat up more energy than the other set-up. What exactly are
you after?

Drive LED with high pulsed current using a low duty cycle within device
specs for max eff. Pulse drive is ideal for LED's due to the "persistent of
vision" factor of the human eye, that is, it will integrate the light
pulses. Less power and heat compared to constant current.
