The abstract generator version is 5.0.0 03, the First Encounter
version is v05.20_s197_1, and the NanoRoute version is v05.20_s155.

In the .lef file generated by the abstract generator, I found that
some layers are missing.

Where does the abstract generator collect layer information? Is it
from the techfile.cds file? But the layer 'active' is defined in it?
Why does it say that it is not defined? As the definition of the VIA
'M1_P' contains 'active', thus 'M1_P' is failed to be created.

Thank you!!

I checked the "Design Data Transfer's Reference", and it said that in
the .lef file, there are data such as layer section, vias section, and
so on.

But in the layer section, there are only routing layer, cut layer,
masterslice layer, overlap layer, and implant layer.

I don't understand that the contact 'M1_P' is defined in the
techfile.cds file as below

(M1_P contact drawing active drawing (pplus drawing 0.5) metal1
drawing
0.6 0.6 (1 1 1.4 1.4 center center) 0.25 0.25 (inside nwell
drawing))

Then why it is listed as VIA in the .lef file, and since 'active'
layer is not contained in the .lef file, so there are errors about
'active is not defined' and ''M1_P' is not created'.

How can I solve this problem?

Thank you!

Renee
