Does anyone know of a sourse for small portable laser range finders?

Look at hunting and sport shooting sources.
Post a request on rec.guns;that will get you some good answers.

Look at hunting and sport shooting sources.
Post a request on rec.guns;that will get you some good answers.
If they really have these things, why doesn't the guy looking for a car
rangefinder use one? i.e., he wants to measure the distance to the car in
front, on the fly.

There was a whole huge thread on what a nightmare it is to design a
Doppler system.

But there really are "laser rangefinders?" Do they work?
