I recently purchased the above PIC programmer from Altronics and it seems to
be working OK except I can't write/verify location 0000.

Can anybody offer any suggestions?

Thanks,
Bruce

Take it back and don't waste your money.

Is labtronics elabtronics ? It appears to be.
http://www.elabtronics.com/

Software is very good but their circuit boards are single sided pieces of crap.

I evaluated some of their products for a neighbour who is a teacher
and the school she teaches at was looking at getting some of their boards for
students.

Anyone requiring tracks to be cut and wire links soldered, in
kits for students and beginners has got to be kidding.

This was for their elab877 and pic628 boards.
Way overpriced and poor quality.
