My other computer has a Labtec speaker smaller than the CS-800 and one
of the two speakers is not producing any sound. It's the right speaker,
which does not have any direct electroncis in it. Any ideas why?

Unplug the speaker and briefly touch its male contacts with a 1.5 volt
battery. You should hear a definite click. If you do, the female connector
in the computer is probably defective. If you hear no click, the voice coil
of the speaker is probably fried.
