Kemo kit

The Kemo B216 kit is a simple IR light beam kit. It has an IC B342.
Can't find any info on it. Is it Telefunken? Can anyone suggest a site
that might have a datasheet?

Kemo do answer emails, they might be able to identify the
manufacturer. If you have the kit to hand, what other markings are on
the chip? What does the logo look like?

Kemo do answer emails, they might be able to identify the
manufacturer. If you have the kit to hand, what other markings are on
the chip? What does the logo look like?

Have emailed Kemo before and got no reply, so I assumed they don't reply
(they probably get hundreds).

The markings on the chip are faded, but there's B342Dd WO and some
logo I can't make out.

I would expect Jaycar to at least provide the datasheets for the kits
they sell, guess I should suggest it to them.

I only emailed them once, and got a reply within 48 hours. Maybe I
was lucky ...

They just import the prepacked kits and put a Jaycar sticker on. The
most I'd expect out of them is the standard Kemo sheet from the kit
that you (should) already have.

I have seen this crap before. Throw it away. All their shit uses custom
telefunken IC's or something like that. You will never find data, nor will
you find replacements. PS, jaycar tends too import shit like this worth
nothing then flogs it off for bucks. If you are going to buy kits, then
stick with the SC and EA kits. At least they are designed with jellybean
components that you can buy from you local drugstore. If you ask the
drugstore, they may even supply you with a fax machine photocopy of the
datasheet.

PS, reference to drugstore means shitty little teenage stoners at places
like DSE and Tandy that only care about scoring their next stick.
