Hi,

This monitor was given to me in this condition:

No picture with known good input. Unit powers up and neck glows. No smell
of burned components. Any common failures with this model? Any chance of a
schematic/parts list?

Thanks for any and all help.

Kirk

You will not be able to get any service information or parts from the KDS
people. They are like the rest of the computer equipment companies. They
will service the monitor through their reps, but will not sell any parts or
service manuals to outside services.

It is possible that the main power supply is partly failed, and or there is
also a scan failure at the same time. The monitor is most likely in the
protect mode so there will not be any safety hazard. With proper
troubleshooting the monitor can be serviced. But, the cost of servicing is
most likely not worth it for this grad of monitor.

Ok,

I guess it is time to check for bad caps, diodes, resistors and transistors
in the flyback area.

Thanks!
