Oh, no, JVC are very nice TV to work on and enjoy watching it, watch
that sometimes sometimes a fault can be bit hard but I'll know if I
see what these two parts what up for.

I'll scare up schematic for it and post back part numbers for these
two.

Cheers,

Wizard

Maybe those parts are not supposed to be on the board when it is in that
specific model .

That's another one for the FAQ. People look at a circuit board and see all
those unpopulated holes and assume that the parts 'disappeared' somehow.
Where? If the set was working before, and there was no catastrophic event
(I've seen electrolytics blown almost completely off the board, leaving only
the leads sticking out...even then, there was evidence that they once were
there.), then those parts were 99% never meant to have been there.

these parts was taken off the board at another shop i've been working on tvs
over 30 years and i know by now when someone have remove a part i was just
hopeing someone had this sams before i had to buy one since i do'nt work on
that many JVC.

Sorry, Jonesy. See full explanation in the reply to the email that you sent
me privately. Feel free to share.

Jonesy,

Got the schematic for AV-27D500 here's the info:

D901 is RBV-406 bridge diode (any from scrapped monitors will do, it
is big one with 4 pins with hole in it).

IC901 is STR-F6626 power supply switcher IC your decent supplier
should have one.

Note that JVC power supply is brillently designed so if there is
slightly short, wrong modes (one relay prematurely shut) or wrong
loads, it will pump up then shut down in a second if you keep a watch
on the meter on the voltage outputs.

To be successful, I INSIST and mean it from experience: replace all
three SMD digital switch transistors: Q944, Q927 and Q926 with
DTC124EKA-X (again from your decent supplier.) Cannot be checked,
just replace them, they're only few cents apiece.

This three digital switches was 100% responsible for hours of chasing
in circles on many JVC sets using this chassis. Then I hit on that
trick to replace this three digital transistor switches along with
necessary parts things got easier to fix.

I will promise you, that JVC is worth fixing, very nice set.

Oh, don't forget to replace C926 (1000uF 35V) just in case.

I'll hold on the schematic for reference to your questions till you
get that set fixed.

Cheers,

Wizard
