Junkyards in sydney for electrical stuff

Hi, I'm in sydney on the north shore, and I love scavenging junk like
enormous transformers and large motors etc. DOes anyone know any
junkyards narby which would have this sort of thing which I could get?

Are you willing to travel ?

Find a coal mine they toss out millions of dollars worth of shit each year
and would be only to happy for you to take it if you passed it with
management.

When I worked at one I got all the scrap steel I needed and so many other
things.

Careful though your place will end up looking like a scrap yard and your
friends will call you a bower bird ;)

Don't forget THE BOWER on the other side of the harbour!
142 Addison Rd, Marrickville

They have all sorts of stuff reclaimed from the hard waste stream.
Electrical, household & building materials. A lot is donated by the public
and prices are really cheap.
