Jitter-free switches

Can someone here point me to a web page describing how to make a simple
jitter-free switch from a mechanical switch and a few TTL gates? I've seen
them described a hundred times in the past, but now that I need it, I'm
unable to google my way to one. Is there another word for "jitter-free"
perhaps?

I think you're looking for "debounce".
