Picture this: I walk into the church that you attend on Sunday morning.
Everyone is happily worshiping Jesus. Then I stand up and yell "I
think Altera Stratix FPGA's are great! And here's why, blah, blah,
blah" so everybody can hear it. That would seem exceedingly rude
wouldn't it?

There's a time and place for everything. Perhaps you could pay
attention to that social practice and send your Jesus posts where they
belong (not here).

John, there is a difference. God is the author of the universe and
everything in it, including us. He is first in all things, and He
deserves to be first in all things. It is the sin nature, and the
enemy of this world who is presently deceiving men into believing
that the various aspects of our lives should be divided into "this here"
and "this other thing over there," when in fact we are to have God
ahead of all things in our life. He is first, then the things we do
are second.

That's the natural order of God's universe. But because of sin, the
people of this world do not see it that way.

Jesus restores us to the way we're supposed to be. It's why I teach
of Him, of salvation from sin and judgment through His sacrifice on
the cross.

Jesus makes all things new again. He restores us to the way things
were intended before sin entered in and messed everything up.

People need Jesus. People don't need FPGAs. But until people humble
themselves, they might think that's not the case. But for those who
will bow the knee, and acknowledge Him for who He is, and acknowledge
us for who we are, they will know the truth, and the truth shall make
them free.

I pray this makes sense, John. It's not for nothing I come here.
There are so many eternal souls on the line, and it is only the saving
knowledge of Jesus Christ who can set those souls free in eternity.

Be one who is set free, John. Learn of Him, and ask Him for forgiveness.
I would like to see you, and everyone else here, in Heaven, following a
grand and great reunion in the air upon His return.

Best regards,
Rick C. Hodgin

John, there is a difference.

Once again, the ego emerges.

John, best to just not reply to him at all. He may be a religious
fanatic, but he is still a troll and should be treated as such.
Reasoning with him is pointless. Arguing with him would just spur him
on. Any reply at all is reinforcement to his behavior. He may be of
God, but he still is human enough to go away if he is completely ignored.

Choose life.

This song should become the national anthem of every nation, united
together, one to another, in love, in and through Jesus Christ, serving
Him first, and one another second, so that He may grow and prosper
us rightly, as we are led rightly by Him, and not carried away by the
draws and pulls of sin.

-----

I then shall live as one who's been forgiven.
I'll walk with joy to know my debts are paid.
I know my name is clear before my Father;
I am His child and I am not afraid.
So, greatly pardoned, I'll forgive my brother;
The law of love I gladly will obey.

I then shall live as one who's learned compassion.
I've been so loved, that I'll risk loving too.
I know how fear builds walls instead of bridges;
I'll dare to see another's point of view.
And when relationships demand commitment,
Then I'll be there to care and follow through.

Your Kingdom come around and through and in me;
Your power and glory, let them shine through me.
Your Hallowed Name, O may I bear with honor,
And may Your living Kingdom come in me.
The Bread of Life, O may I share with honor,
And may You feed a hungry world through me.

Amen, Amen, Amen.

There are a lot more posters in sci.electronics.design. You should try
there...

I post in the areas to which I'm interested, as I bear His banner before me
in my work. I am doing what I'm doing to use the talents and skills He gave
me, to give back to Him, to give to all of the people of this Earth, so that
we might all improve together.

I long to have help in my endeavors, but will be content to press on doing
my best under the isolation and ridicule my faith affords me as I continue
to point people to Jesus, to forgiveness, to salvation, and to eternal life
in the paradise of God. :)

Your faith isn't your problem. Your mental illness is. Talk to your
pastor or whoever guides you in spiritual ways and ask them about your
conversations here. I expect he will advise you to refrain as I do.

I don't know why I replied to your earlier post. I advise others to not
sin as I have sinned.

Have you ever read this verse?

http://biblehub.com/matthew/6-33.htm
"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness;
and all these things shall be added unto you."

What are "these things" He's referring to?

http://biblehub.com/matthew/6-31.htm
"Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What
shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?"

God wants us to put Him first, and then He will enter into our life and
command things around us to align with our needs.

He is a giving God. A mighty God, of inexhaustible resource. He's not
in a box, nor limited by any thing in this universe. He is God Almighty,
able to do all things, even the impossible things. By seeking Him first
in our lives, then we are in pursuit of Him, He who is able and might to
do in our lives.

The enemy teaches us wrongly about God. If you seek the truth out for
yourself, and read the Bible yourself seeking the truth, you too will
find it. He will reveal Himself to you as He is, and you will know the
truth, and that truth will make you free.

It's so beautiful what God offers us. It is the enemy whispering lies
into our ears, our thoughts, through the actions of those around us to
whom he's also whispered lies, causing them to act in sin under the name
of "Jesus" or "Christian" or any other heinous thing. But Jesus is not
like that. Jesus is nothing like that. He is love, and hope, and peace,
and strength, and power, and authority. And His love overshadows our failures. He, at the cross, reveals His love for us, dying for us while
we were yet sinners. He didn't wait for us to straighten ourselves up
because He knew we couldn't do it because of sin, but instead He came here
while we were dirty, while we were heinous, while we were wicked and evil,
and He made a way out, making the impossible possible, by His own sacrifice
on our behalf.

I.e. a giving God even though sin had entered in by our choices. He still
gave us the opportunity to be forgiven. Only those who reject His offer
of salvation and forgiveness will perish. Everybody else will be saved.

It's why He's first in our life, because of what He's done for us. He is
worthy of the placement as #1, ahead of all things we are ever a part of.

Rick C. Hodgin
