Does anyone have experience with the following components:

Manufacturer: Ixys
Description: RF Power MOSFET
P/N: IXZ210N50L
P/N: IXZ2210N50L

They are relatively new on the market.
Any "lessons-learned" would be appreciated.

Grant

Note, this is my second attempt to post message. Earlier one is identical,
except for attached data sheet.

You're making a 500W 175MHz RF power amplifier?

Thanks,

Winfield,

Yes, except we will probably target ~100 MHz operation. We do not need
adjustable frequency, so the design will be narrow-band to get as much rf
power as we can at ~100 MHz. Outputs from individual power amplifier boards
will be combined to scale up to kW average rf power levels.

The Ixys components are priced very attractively, but are new to the market.
I am curious if there might be some lurking technical pitfalls.

Tell me something that's guaranteed free of them!

The good news is that nothing is compulsory.
The bad news is that everything is prohibited.
