It's not just lungs: Covid-19 may damage the heart, brain, a

And they're talking about serious damage which leaves people in an advanced state of disrepair, so to speak, sometimes even amputations and neurological damage from stroke.

The problem is the this ACE-2 receptor protein is also heavily expressed in the endothelial cells lining the blood vessels throughout the body. Then since the virus easily infects such cells, all sorts of serious inflammation symptoms develop, many due to clotting blockage of micro blood vessel circulation.

Endothelium refers to cells that line the interior surface of blood vessels and lymphatic vessels, forming an interface between circulating blood or lymph in the lumen and the rest of the vessel wall. ... so, vascular endothelial cells line the entire circulatory system, from the heart to the smallest capillaries.

So you can see how serious this is:

No end to it...

Not to worry though. our misleaders say it's just another form of flu.

Perhaps the problem is not so much the virus, but your way of looking at
the world, which seems to be very fearful in all respects (as revealed by
your views on climate change for one example). The dire outcomes you're
speculating about only occur in a tiny minority of cases so the odds of
emerging unscathed are in your favour.

10-12% is not a "tiny minority." Generally speaking, if you require hospitalization, you're in trouble.

How many survivors have you autopsied to test for damage? If it's zero,
the gratuitous reference to fear and confident 'minority of cases'
claim are nonsense.

My diagnois: Larkin Syndrome: perceiving fear, hysteria, panic in every situation

Yes, like playing Russian Roulette. Done that lately?
