Issues in generating 64 bit context files

Hi All,

I'm currently using ic 6.1.3.500.14. When I changed my environmenttal
variable CDS_AUTO_64BIT to ALL. I couldn't see Virtuoso or the icfb
64bit executables available in this version. Instead layout is
available can I invoke layout instead of virtuoso and generate a 64
bit context files.

I'm using linux OS with 64 bit machine.

Need help urgently.

Thanks,
jack.

In IC613 and before, only "layout" is supported in 64 bit. So it only makes
sense to generate 64-bit contexts for applications which are layout-related.
icfb and virtuoso have never been supported in 64 bit mode.

In other words, provided that your application will run in the "layout"
executable, it makes sense to produce a 64 bit context file for it.

In IC614, support for 64 bit virtuoso will be there - so the IC tools across the
board will work in 64 bit mode.

Regards,

Andrew.

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for you reply. With layout command I could see the following
errors ,

Error message when invoking layout command (64 bit):

Error (gdmLoadSharedLib): Loading "libgdmsync_sh.so" has failed.

Error (dlopen): libgdmsync_sh.so: cannot open shared object file: No
such file or directory

Error (gdmiLoadDMLibrary): Could not load library './libgdmsync_sh.so'
for DM system 'sync'

Error (gdmImportDMSystem): DM system 'sync' as specified in file '' is
not available due to errors

If you can get me the solution it will be really helpful.

Thanks,
Jack.

These look like issues with DesignSync. Wrong version? Faulty
installation? The missing library is definitely from DesignSync.

Thanks Mark,

I will check with design sync installation.
