Hi All,

I am intrigued by the file
"tools/dfII/bin/nfsUpdate"

Did any of you try to modify it ? It should be possible to replace it by a "no op" and gain performance.

I'm not convinced it's actually used by anything any more. The last mentions
I've found for it were all 4.3.4 related, and even then I'm not sure whether it
was still used. I think it was a workaround for some problem that no longer
exists.

Our good friend John Gianni has a PCR in to get all these executables
documented (or removed if not used any more).

I'm doing a quick scan through the source code to see if anything calls it, but
so far not found anything.

If it's not used, then clearly replacing it by a no-op won't affect performance!

Andrew.
