Hi,

I heard of these two softwares, but I don't know the difference between
them. Who may give one simple compare? Thanks for your help!

Have a good day!

Well, in the olden days (i.e., Opus), "Virtuoso" meant layout editor as
"Composer" meant schematic editor as "Diva" meant physical
verification, etc. Nowadays, "Virtuoso" means the entire Cadence
custom-ic "platform" suite of tools (which includes schematics,
simulation, analog synthesis, device placement, custom layout, physical
optimization, placement, routing, reticle enhancement, design for
yield, physical verification, floorplanning, chip finishing, etc.).

Limiting our summary to just the layout editor, here's a one-word
differentiation:
Virtuoso Layout Editor (#300) ==> layout
Virtuoso Layout Editor Turbo (#311) ==> productivity
Virtuoso XL (#3000) ==> automation

The abstract editor is just one of many components of the above.
Your sales team will be glad to explain in-depth capabilities of each.

Hope this quick & "simple comparison" helps the newbies,

Virtuoso is the "brand"
Layout is like a car, it takes you from A to B as long as
you know the road.

Layout Turbo is the same car with road assistance and alloy wheels.

Layout XL is the same car with navigation system, it knows where
you are and shows you how
to get from A to B.
