The Wall Street Journal reports at least six incidents of emergency services being called for false alarms. In response to the false alarms, an Apple spokesperson said Apple tested the feature with over a million hours of car crash data and real-world driving analysis. Several tests have already been done to test the accuracy of the ‌iPhone 14‌\'s Crash Detection, with varying results.

Crash Detection is available on the ‌iPhone 14‌, ‌iPhone 14 Pro‌, Apple Watch SE, Apple Watch Series 8, and Apple Watch Ultra.

It might be useful for old or disabled people at risk of broken hips
and falling down stairs and such.

I fell down some stairs and died once, but Mo was there to CPR me. It
was her big chance to get rid of me.

My meagre Fiesta has a crash detection system that dials 999 if I crash
the car...I don\'t need a phone to do that for me...

I wouldn\'t trust it. Around my parts the EMS sends you a steep bill for a false alarm, or even a legitimate alarm sometimes.

You weren\'t dead you were stunned. Your accident was caused by your chair:

Apparently there\'s something to elevating the legs above heart level for preserving if not improving circulation. Wayfair isn\'t giving them away:

They\'re very style centric, and people pay top dollar for that. Maybe OfficeMax has something.

I got better.

No, it was caused by our cleaning lady using furniture polish on
wooden stairs.
