hi,

i pulled this out of storage yesterday. good sound on one channel.
muddy sound on the other channel. i cleaned the pots with contact
cleaner. i was tickled when i got beautiful sound from both channels.

then, this morning the audio cut out intermittenly. all on or all
off. then, it went out completely. fuses look okay. any pointers?

any tips much appreciated,
larry

Can you hear a click when the audio cuts out, and another when it cuts back
on? If so, check you speaker wiring carefully. If no problem there, and
the speakers themselves are okay; and the load impedance amounts to no less
than four ohms...you've got trouble with the output circuitry. It's trying
to tell you there's possibly DC voltage on the outputs, which could be death
to your speakers.

Or it could be notorious Pioneer regulated power supply problems. Bad
solder, bad caps, shorted zener diode, open B-E junction of a regulator
transistor, etc.
