It looks like a standard motor-driven 24hr timer. Turn the dial to theAnyone know how this timer works. From past experience it's a little
bizarre. It somehow depends on what time of day you plug it in.

in the h/w store suggested a year or so ago. It turns itself on at dusk,W. eWatson wrote:

2. Turn dial selector to timing interval
desired (i.e., 2 Hrs, 4 Hrs, 6 Hrs, 8 Hrs,
dusk to dawn, etc.).
3. Plug outdoor lights into Easy-Set Timer
lights will turn on automatically at dusk."

Somewhere on the timer there's a photocell - make sure it
can "see" daylight.
