I have a Mitsubishi 27" TV that is about 9 years old. Lately I have been
noticing some pixellating on the screen. But only during night scenes or
very dim lighting situations. I'll mention that I've never had a single
problem with this TV and actually it rocked back in the day. Time to upgrade
or what?

What do you men pixellating ? that really means tiny spots of the
screen dont light anymore .. not common .

Maybe the wrong term. Basically whaat I was getting at was when there is a
night scene all dark areas tend to look like scales or almost animated. It's
tough to put a word on it but this just started to happen in the last year
or so

This almost sounds like the result of video compression. You just might
have your contrast set to high and are seeing some artifacts from the mpg
compression. Do you use a digital cable subscription or something like
Direct TV?
