I am looking for the datasheet/programming info for the SMSC FDC9268
floppy disk controller IC. believe this device was used in the PC-AT.

This device is no longer supported by SMSC, nor does their web site have
any info. I sent an email to Rochester Electronics, but no reply so far...

Any info or pointers would be GREATLY appreciated!

My 1985 SMC catalog doesn't list it, I think it came several years later.
....

My 1990 IC master says it's not a controller, only a Data Separator.

I was going to say that, memory tells me that the 92's were data separators.
But I just pulled out my 1988 SMC book, and it's a 40pin DIP/44 pin SLCC
"Quad Density Integrated Floppy Disk Controller". It's software
compatible with the 765.

And no, I have no scanner.
