Hi there

if i buy one of those cheap usb webcams, can i at some stage extract an
analog video signal or the signal is created in a digital form??

Generating analog video signals is a feature that only more expensive
cameras have. You would need a camera with PAL/NTSC out or you could run it
through your PC if you have a video card that can handle video out.
 
Hi,

Almost as cheap - get hold of a cheapy internal CCTV security camera.
They obviously have analogue video out. I've seen monochrome and colour
ones here in the UK for Ł15 and Ł25 respectively.
