Inductive battery charger

Does anyone know where I can get an inductive battery charger? I need
to charge battteries within a device that cannot be exposed to wet
conditions so it's sealed tight. I had a shaver at one point that had
a base that charged the battery inside without connecting any wires.
I'd like to do the same with this device.

Also, do you know if it's a standard nickel metal battery that's used
for this?

TIA.

Friends of mine at the University of Auckland, New Zealand, have built
numerous such battery chargers. 300A hurled across 8" air gaps....will that
do the trick? It does need a 400kW AC motor controller with fancy software
and soft-switching mods though :) They did a set-up at Whakarewarewa,
Rotorua, with electric cars and NO batteries...of course eventually
commercial EMC regs will come down to 9kHz or so, at which point their LF
resonant approach will suddenly be useless :)

Cheers
