Inability to alter Model Name

Hi All

I have to extend some part libraries for a process that developed some new
features. Some before me created a three terminal resitor symbol for the
poly resistors. I want to use the same symbol, rename it and point to a
new model for high resistance poly. I copied the symbol with the library
manager and saved it under a new name. I have spent many hours trying to
change the Model Name field. It is greyed out in the Properties dialog
box and I can't find a way to edit it or make it editable. Any help and
suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks in Advance
Regards

Hi Johannes

You need to edit the CDF for the resistor. For this goto:
CIW->CDF->Edit
Fill out the library name and cell name. Change CDF type to Base. The
change the value of the model field. Hit OK and you are done. I might
be a little inaccurate in some details as I don't have access to
Cadence software right now.

Thank you. That did it. I never looked in CFII but tried in the
component editor only and the manuals.
