I have a 3 year old model which has just developed an annoying fault. If
it's left on stanby overnight it switches off and won't come on unless I
disconnect the mains lead for a couple of minutes. Any idea where to look,
is it a known fault?
Thanks
Chris

Most likely some components in the power supply are failing. The defective
part(s) may be a bit thermo sensitive. When unplugging the monitor, the
parts cool a little, and when up to temperature, they are defective. In the
supply there is a start-up or kick-start circuit. The configuration of
these circuits is different from one model the other, depending on the
philosophy of the particular model design.

Have investigated further, sometimes it will stay on standby all night but
shut down completely when I boot the PC. I then have to unplug it for a
while and then plug it in making sure it is switched on first.
