Hello,
Anyone got a circuit for this?
I want to switch electromagnets on/off. They are supplied by 400VDC.
Do I need PWM?
I also want to detect current flowing in the circuit, and turn IGBT off at a
particular current.
Hoping to use Hall-Effect device for current monitor.
Wanting to create what is almost a linear motor using 20 electro-magnetic
coils.
As the object being moved (the armature) moves directly above each coil,
that coils current drain drops to minimum. Detect this, turn off that coil
and turn on the next coil, thus attracting the armature etc. etc. and moving
it along the row of coils.
Any ideas on swithcing IGBT's will be great help.
Cheers.
