Hi!
Can some one tell me where can I find the "IEEE Standard VerilogŽ
Hardware Description Language" (IEEE Std 1364-2001).

It's available here :
http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/xpl/standardstoc.jsp?isnumber=20656&isYear=2001

I'm not IEEE member and thus don't have access to full text.
Can some one donate me it ?

You gotta buy it. You will get a downloadable copy in .pdf form, and no
you don't have to be an IEEE member to purchase ( although I think you
get a nice discount if you are ) .

And what if I'm poor? I even don't have credit card because my
situation doesn't permit it :(
Ok I'll ask some colleagues.

Hint: the abstract for the spec has the phrase "Verilog HDL is a formal
notation" in it.

Explain please clearly your opinion ... it would be benefic for me ...
and others !
Thanks

Do you know how to spell Google?

Did you try a search of the quoted phrase that the previous
poster used? Do you wonder why he quoted it?

Also -
The spec is very, very detailed, probably not a good way
to learn the language. Unfortunately, I have not seen ANY
good books on Verilog. I'd suggest you look at some of the
online tutorials, etc.

You might search for "bucknell verilog" to find a short tutorial.

Also Cliff Cummings site has a bunch of nice verilog papers.

I need the spec not for learning !! but for writing softs :) these
softs should be conform to the standard.

I cannot help you to get the copy, but you might find useful the following
link :

http://www.asic-world.com/index.html

Its really not the spec, but a good tutorial (~250 page in PDF) with examples.
Also some links.

Anyway..I don't 100% understand why I have to pay for an open standard?
SystemVerilog by Accelera can be downloaded from their site w/o any money.

Greetings,
G.

I think the IEEE includes paid staff and I guess income has to come
from sources such as the standards. Somebody from the IEEE might want
to clarify.
