How do I differentiate between the E and B pins of a TO-3 case power
transistor? 2N3055 if I remember correctly. Thanks.

You go to http://www.google.com and you type in "2N3055".

Then you click on the hits you get back until you find what you want.

This might even be the first one that comes up:

Mark,

You type "2N3055" into Google search and look over the results. Choose one
that seems OK and you'll get more useful information as well as the pin out.
......i.e.:

Regards,

Ken

How did you manage to get a 2955 datasheet when you googled 3055 ?

Just curious.

p.s. The OP could even go to onsemi.com and get the genuine 'motorola'
data sheet.
