I'm in the midst of repairing a Hi-8 camcorder (Sony CCD-TR-805e) and
have found (most likely) some capacitors to be damaged around the CCD
area.

They are all SMD type capacitors. Small silver "cans" with a thick black
marking at one side of the top. I assume this marks the negative
polarity, right?
I've found a photo of what looks like the ones I have here:

http://www.elfa.se/elfa/produkter/en/1666.htm
(they look like the smallest one in the photo).

On the top the values are written, but to be 100% sure I get the right
replacements I want some confirmation on this. Here's what's written on
the top of each capacitor and what I think it means. Is my assumption
correct?

Marking What I assume it to be
------------------------------------------------
C
1
50 1uF/50V ?

C
4.7
25 4.7uF/25V ?

F
10
16 10uF/16V ?

G2
47
4V 47uF/4V ?

D
3.3
35 3.3uF/35V ?

Note the "D", "F", "G2" and "C" lettering! This is what confuses me, not
being sure if it has anything to do with the value, the company that
made it or something entirely different.

I'm also unsure about what kind of capacitor replacement to get as there
are so many to choose from (low-impedance capacitors, dry aluminium
electrolytics and a bunch of others to choose from at different
temperature ratings.
Here's a complete selection (look for the ones symbolized with a "Y" in
a black box, which denotes surface-mounted types):

I really just want something that is reliable and will last a long time
as I'll be taking my camcorder on a long trip abroad and can't afford to
have it fail on me.

I think this is the size and layout of the package. Are all in the same
psychical size or just those with the same letters?

Let me see...
They all look the same from the outside except for the one marked:

G2
47
4V

That one's a little "fatter" (has a bigger diameter).
The size of the other capacitors are 5mm high and 3mm in diameter
(measuring the diameter of the metal can itself, not the plastic fixture
underneath which is squared).

The "G2" capacitor has the same height, but the diameter is 4mm.

Seems I might have been wrong. Have a look at
http://my.execpc.com/~endlr/Markings/markings.html

It appears like the letter marking could be the tolerance instad of the
footprint.
