icarus verilog error

Hi,

I'm fairly new to verilog and I'm getting a strange error when I'm
compiling my code.
During compilation it just outputs: "Segmentation Fault", without
mentioning anything about what module or line it's occurring.
Anyone know any common mistakes that could cause such an error?

Thanks,

Tom

You'll need to be more specific about the version of Icarus Verilog
you are using. If you can put together something repeatable, then
you should probably also submit a bug report

Thanks for the reply.
I'm running version 0.8 ($name: v0_8_1 $)
If there's a newer version out there, I guess I can always bug the
admin about installing a newer version.
I'll look into how to submit a bug report aswell, if it's needed.

The latest stable release is 0.8.3:
<ftp://ftp.icarus.com/pub/eda/verilog/v0.8/>

That where you should start. If that doesn't take care of anything,
go to the Icarus Verilog home page and follow the links to the
page on reporting bugs. This will direct you to a "cover page" that
details the bug reporting process, and sends you to the actual
sourceforge based bugs database. You'll need to be complete. Otherwise,
I won't be able to reproduce the problem, and I certainly won't be
able to fix it.

Hi
If you locate the problem in code you will do most of the work.
I use icarus a lot. It is a good simulator. But sometimes there are
problems.
Once you find the place in code, it is easy to bypass the problem, till

Steve fixes it.
