IBM Monitor Shrink

My IBM Computer Monitor suddenly gets larger for a couple of seconds once
its warmed up. The picture also gets noticeably darker once it becomes
larger. Any ideas where to look first??.
Should I be spritzing coolant on the components once it heats up to find the
suspect component??
Thanks in advance,
Kim

Sounds like your high voltage is going
too high, thus the "blooming", & larger
picture. Measure the high voltage with
a high voltage probe! Check the horizontal
drive, & high voltage capacitors in the flyback
transformer area! Turbo.

As illogical as it first sounds, higher HV will result in a *smaller*
picture, and low voltage will cause it to bloom and expand.

A word of warning - be VERY CAREFUL when inside the case. These circuits
have very high voltages which could harm you.

Check it out, might be recalled.
