Same here. Who or what is Dilbert, anyway? I've heard the name
mentioned here on many occasions.

The site comes up fine in Internet Explorer even though pinging doesn't seem
to work. Not every site responds to pings.

Every $40 router and software firewall package these days has the option.
'Ping' is easily exploited as part of a denial of service attack. :-(

The current strip reminds of a place I briefly worked as a contractor.
The day I arrived the group manager called everyone into his office for a brief
talk. It went something like this:

"If this project fails, heads will roll. I'm off on holiday for a couple of
weeks. That's all."

Morale zero, everyone getting their CVs ready and looking for new jobs.
Six months later, most staff have left, project fails.
His head rolls.

When Dilbert first arrived, I was involved as the senior engineer at my
company and every day it seems that the comic strip managed to match exactly
what was going on in management at the place. It was scary. The day that the
strip showed the pointy haired boss commanding all to remove the comics
plastered all over the cubicle walls, is the same day that my 'pointy haired
boss' came along and ordered the removal of all comics from view.

I often thought that Scott Adams was watching us with a hidden camera.

Art does imitate life. :)

The really, really scary part is that he doesn't have to. I mean, not
your office specifically. There is no office that's not right out of
Dilbert. :)

No problems with it here. Anyway, I subscribe (I think this one may be free,
I no longer recall), so get my daily e-mail from Scott. Very, very cool!

I don't allow pings to get through my routers and firewalls either. Bad
policy to allow outsiders to do this.

I noted the aircraft engine and the engine exhaust at times when watching the
video, so I just entered the name at the end of the video and got this link:

Look down for "Sky Cutter .40 V2" and you can buy the contraption for $89.99 and
make your own videos!
