I need data for a RF transistors marked M9665 and M9655

I have a substantial number of RF transistors that have numbers M9665
and M9655. They are in trays and the trays are marked PT4515. I can
only find a cross to the M9665. I you can help I would appreciate it. I
would be willing to give some transistors to the first person with the
correct data. These are in the 211-10 package. These devices are flange
mount(Two screws) and the leads look to be about 1/8 inch wide. The
package appears to be of BeO construction as well. They look to be good
for quite a bit of power. I am guessing that they are 175MHZ. Please help!
Thanks,
Phil Cline.

I did a Google shearch and found they are used as a power amp in Motorola radio
equipment, and they are si NPN.

I snooped around Motorola.com, but had no luck there.

I suggest you follow more of the google results than I did - there were many
more.

good luck

"PT" prefix RF transistors were mostly made by TRW.

Like everybody else (or so it seems) in the world, I'm looking to get
something for nothing.
Specifically, Superflux LEDs from Lumileds. I like the LEDs, they're
exactly what I need, but they're expensive, at least until you buy 300,000
of them at a time, not that you could actually get that many in a shipment
at one time. Anybody know of any good 'tricks' to get these great prices?
Maybe some sort of contract? Or am I stuck with going 'half-and-half' with
a bunch of other people, splitting the costs and the parts?
JDG
P.S. Anybody wanna go half-and-half on a zillion LEDs?

A "half a zillion" is not a realistic number and hardly anyone could
afford that kind of quantity. Talk some realistic quantity and you
might get some realistic replies.

The ones I bought were white, LXHL-NW98 and were about 16 dollars.
You gave _no_ indication of what color you want, or what part number.
So get real and talk real numbers.

BTW, you might consider asking John Wilcoxson at
http://www.whitelightled.com if he would be interested. He deals in
reasonably priced LEDs.

Ya, good point. I guess I did leave everything a bit wide open.
Specifically, I'm looking at buying HPWT-MD00-x ($.72USD/Q60), HPWN-MB00-x
($1.84USD/Q60), HPWN-MG00-x ($1.84USD/Q60) SUPERFLUX LEDs, not the emitters
and stars and those types, just the really bright square ones. The prices
breaks from Future-Active occur at quantities of (minimum) 60, 600, 15000,
60000, and 300000. I can't imagine needing more than 15,000 of them, but
multiples of 600 might be nice, a bit of price break, and not too much $$$$
at a shot.
And yes, I did give an indication of what I was aiming for...as I
said...'Specifically, Superflux LEDs from Lumileds'..., but yes, like you
said, I gave a vague statement at best... :(

Ya, good point. I guess I did leave everything a bit wide open.
Specifically, I'm looking at buying

HPWT-MD00-x ($.72USD/Q60),
Red-Orange, 1500 mCd, 95 degrees.

HPWN-MB00-x ($1.84USD/Q60),
Blue, 2000 mCd, 110 degrees.

HPWN-MG00-x ($1.84USD/Q60)
Green, 4500 mCd, 110 degrees.

I presume that you're gonna use them either for illumination or
signage. I have no interest in signage, I'd use them for
illumination, and being that they're colors, it'd be decorative
illumination. Right now, the only thing I can think of to use them
for would be Xmas lights. I suppose the three colors could be
combined to give white light, which is really what color I want. But
so far, the tests that I've done with regular LEDs don't give a very
good or uniform white light. I'd like to know what the price break is
for the 600 qty. That's an awful big jump from 60, and would be over
a thousand dollars for the more expensive colors. Until I had some
experience with these, I doubt if I would want more than a dozen, let
alone 60 or more. About the only color I'd want a large quantity of
would be white, which they don't have in this size.

Both illumination and signage, decorative, one off projects, a few
continuing projects/products.
The price break at Q600 isn't much, but at least it's a price break.
At Q600, HPWT-MD00 (which actually looks red even though the datasheets
indicate a red-orange), is $.64 ($.08 less)
HPWT-MB00 is $1.63 ($.21 less), same with the HPWT-MG00.
White does work when all 3 are combined, it's a decent white, not pure, but
decent, and bright, and you have to have them in a relatively tight
grouping. Buying 60 of each costs about $275, 600 of each costs about $2450
(at Q600), again not much saved, only $300, but a savings nonetheless. (I
don't even want to think about the cost of the higher quantity price breaks)
