the code, IBM stole it, Microsoft got it from their codeshare arrangement
with IBM for OS/2. Meanwhile Bill Gates secretly bought shares in symantec,
mcafee and trend micro. Then he sneaked the SCO code into Linux. At the same
time he ensured that windows coders built bugs into windows. He then payed
some coders to write viruses that target these bugs. This way everyone
would buy virus software for windows and his shares in the major virus
companies would start making him $$$. eventually though he knew people
would start getting annoyed with windows' virus susceptibility, so then he'd
get the ceo of sco to start legal proceedings to try to gain control of
linux. Behind the scenes though, billy has already bought sco. So, knowing
people would lose confidence in Windows, billy is in a position to own the
only potential successor to it.
or maybe.... it's 11pm, silly hour has set in and i'm desperately trying to
make up some bullshit conspiracy theory that sounds plausible. Heck it's no
worse than some conspiracy theories i've heard. Surely someone can do a
better job of inventing a bullshit conspiracy theory than the above... LOL

Microsoft developed a Unix variant called Xenix and sold it to SCO. I used used Microsoft unix (ie Xenix) about a decade ago.
