I can't go in the hierarchy of my design

Hi,

Strange problem - I was working in Virtuoso schematic editor on my
schematics which have hierarchy to them when I realized that I was no
longer able to go down into the sub-circuit levels. When I select the
block symbol and press "e" it sends me directly to the symbol view. I
have a schematic under this symbol, which I can open separately from
the Library manager, but I can't go to it from my top level. It also
doesn't offer the choice of going to the symbol or to the schematic.
Any idea what can be the problem and how to fix it?

Thanks

Svilen

There is probably a simpler way, but do this:
1. Go to CIW
2. Type schHiDescendRead() and then hit enter
3. Hit F3 to bring menu up
4. click "query user"

Yes, there is a simpler way. You don't need to type in the function. Just use
the menu (Design->Hierarchy->Descend ...) instead of the bindkey - then hit
F3 to bring the options form up.

You probably have a cdsenv setting to use the view list instead
of querying you.

Andrew.
