long and it has warped my brain.

I think there is an imposter at work here, and the post is unfortunately (or

Examine the evidence :

The facts that nobody dispute are: (1) Turcaud found what he believed was

significant mineral deposit in the GSD, and (2) that very deposit later

the Telfer Mine, the largest gold mine in the Southern Hemisphere.

The reasons he didn't get any recognition for the discovery of this gold
mine are: (1) He didn't specifically identify gold as the deposit...
therefore by convention he doesn't get recognised as the discoverer of
this "gold mine". And (2) he didn't physically peg the ground, as is the
recognised convention among prospectors in Aus.

He discovered the Telfer Mine alright. He just didn't get his paperwork
