the black ink has stop working on this unit.
hp c6180
going through all the internet help sites
and finding the MFG user menu i found the "ink exeeded threshold error
"
at start up it displayed a checkbox patttern and a color bar pattern
then said DO NOT SHIP this unit
then i left the MFG user menu and turned the user menu back on.
so i am back to square one
0c05d1281 error code
ink system error
i removed the logic board and found the 330uf @16v caps (4) and
replaced them. they were puffy looking at least two or three were
anyways.
removing the battery didnt clear anything, the first time i did remove
the battery the printer reset to factory and original date. i did
this because the first time i recieved this unit i had to use the
hard reset code to fix the unit
then i had to fix a 0xc19... error ,
then the cr 2032 battery replaced,
al of this i believe was because expired ink was being used.
so i replaced all teh ink with upto date 2013 ink.
but still had the ink system failure
no it got worse
it is a shame to dispose of this unit but it looks like i will have
to do just that.
this is a one last ditch effort to repair this unit.
well i guess i could call hp but it looks like ,from the other
response from the internet that this doesnt work and i dont want to
waste any more time wit this unit.
thanks in advance
