HP Deskjet 960c Prints only red

Hi my HP 960C printer all of a sudden just prints black and red. So I
install a new ink cartridge and it still only prints in black and red, after
cleaning the nozzles and priming. Along with all HP's other suggestions.
Anyone have an idea? I dread calling HP and of course the warranty is
expired.

I have had to clean the small pins with aolcohol that the cartridge contacts.
Worked for me.
