Hp 670C (600 series) printer internal fuse.

Previous owner plugged the incorrect plug pack psu (laptop) into the
unit. + center pin rather than -, half the voltage, but 4 amp.
Now the unit doesn't power up at all. The orginal psu if working and
tested showing 33v. Checked the board for any obvious fuses, but found
nothing.

Has anyone had any experience with one of these??? I know they are
really not worth fixing, but was just hoping it is a fuse that I have
missed.

Look for a possible fuse resistor, or a low omage resistor that is being
used as a fuse. This is common in many of the low priced power supplies, as
what are used in printers, and fax machines.
