Hi all:
I recently acquired an HP 400FL AC Voltmeter and was planning to use
it for audio work on my bench at home.
However, it needs minor repairs and I badly need a schematic.
I have a schematic for the 400E/EL and it is similar but not close
enough--there are significant differences in the circuitry and all of
the component identifiers are completely different.
I can see that there are lots of similarities between the two, but
lots of differences too. I don't know why, since the only difference
in the spec is the addition of the switchable low pass filter.
If anyone has a schematic or can point me in the right direction, I
would be most appreciative. This meter has a value of perhaps $30 to
$50 (working-not calibrated) and I hate to spend $30 additional for a
complete manual which I really don't need.
If anyone has one of these, I am certainly willing to pay reasonable
costs for photocopying and postage for only the schematic.
The email listed on this post boppo@jaydemail.com should work for at
least another 2 weeks and then it will be shut down by the email
service.
Or any answers can be posted here in the group.
Thanks much
John
