Hello All,
Anyone have the manual for the HP 3437A Voltmeter? Also, what kind of
funky BNC connector does it use?

Thanks
Mike

It looks like a three-lug Triax connector to me.
Used by a lot of Keithley test equipment.
Two shields. The inner shield sometimes driven
and called a "guard". Good for very low level
high speed measurements. You should be able
to get an adaptor to BNC.

Steve,
Thanks so much, I've never seen one like that before. You think I could
just replace it with a BNC connector?

Thanks
Mike

Yes, I think so. Probably want to use the outer shield
and leave the inner one unconnected. Would be a lot
cheaper than purchasing the Triax-to-BNC adaptor, which
I believe also doesn't use the inner shield. I have purchased
them before at the day job - I think from either Newark or Allied.

FWIW - to make matters worse, there are two-lug Triax as well as
three-lug! Keithley equipment uses both kinds. Triax jumper cables
are quite expensive, but I found the connectors themselves and the
cable aren't too bad $ and have started making them myself - but they
are very difficult to assemble.
