Any easy way to reset service reminder in VY Commodore other than going to a
workshop please?

1) You'd prolly have more luck on aus.cars than here
and 2) not really ..

you need a Tech 2 I believe ..

If it can be done without a tool, it will be detailed in your manual ..

G'day Urk,

from the service booklet,
1 turn ignition off
2. Hold down "up" and "down" buttons on trip computer.
3. Turn ignition on whilst holding buttons.
4. After app. 3 seconds release both buttons.
5. Service menu appears and asks if you want to reset.
6. Press and hold the "set" button for 3 seconds
7. Press the "mode" button.
8. Turn ignition off.
Get cold beer.
