how to use getResult in ocean

Hi,

in the ocean manual there is a function called getResult which returns
an o_results datatype. The same does selectResults. Which functions can
use this o_results for further processing?

I recognize that there is a slight difference in the way these two
commands work. A search for o_results in the doc did not bring me further.

I can't see much use for it, to be honest. There was a discussion in a PCR
recently about the return value of getResult, and whether the ~> slots for it
should be documented (the answer was no, since that's internal implementation
details, and subject to change) - but I can't really see what purpose
getResult() serves.

I'm sure there was a good reason at the time, but I can't see it now!
