how to use 723 in Multisim

Hi all,
i am using Multisim to learn the basic electronics. and i hit a
problem. the symbol of ua723 in Multisim contain only 3 pins while it
actually has 14? how to do with it??

there is a 723 3pin (powerhouse) TO3 package.
is there a selection for 723N or something like that for the 14pin
DIP?

HI.
I checked all the 723s. but none of them has more than 3 pins in
their symbols.. i think there must have some way to change the symbol
in Multisim. Any idea??

I am Using Multisim 2001. I have not checked out the specific
component that you mention, but I do know that there are a few
components that have hidden pins. Most of the time this is the +VDD
and VGND pins. I have seen this arangement quite often with Digital
Devices. I think you can check your component in the Component Editor
to see if this is true in your case. If it is, then you can edit the
Symbol with Symbol Editor and make the invisible pins available on the
Symbol.

In most cases, if the componet is an op amp and it is physically in a
14-pin dip the the simulator will not display it as a square with 14
pins, but will give you the generic schemitic representation as a
triangle with 3, 5 or 7 pins comming out of it. The package
designation of 14 or 16 pin is used when exporting your schematic to a
PCB Utility such as Utiliboard.

I don't know if this helps, but I am not an expert at Multisim myself.
This is just what I have observed or had experience with. Someone else
may have better information than I.
