HOW TO: Transfer from Cassette to DAT, and from DAT to CD??

I am curious to hear from anyone with experience transferring from cassette
tape to DAT. I am also seeking info on transferring from DAT to CD.

I have a Sony TCD-D7. Thanks.

Why do you need to bother with the DAT? Why not take the cassette into
the computer via the sound card and make the CD from that? Do you
think the A-D in the DAT is better than the A-D in the computer? It
might be but either is better than the cassette.
