How to salvage SMD LEDs from heatsinked surface?

Closely packed slivers soldered (nearly) directly onto aluminium.
Place on a hotplate at what temp and then what?
If ptfe or similar interlayer under the traces then perhaps shearing
LEDs with traces off the Al, but what if aluminium oxide?
