Hello,

Is there a way to put a ready developed VHDL code into binary form,
so that other can use, but not read it?

Of course there is such a way, because the IP vendors live from that :).

Does anyone know how to do this with the Xilinx ISE 5.x environment?

thanks in advance for any help.

For Xilinx FPGAs, you can distrubute IP cores in Xilinx binary database
format (.ngo files). Take a look at 'edif2ngd' command.
