How to create a LEF file from GDS?.

I would like to know how to create the LEF files from GDS file?.
Is ther any way or utility available?.

Hi Kumar,

you need an "abstract" view first before you can export a LEF.
The abstract generator ( "abstract" in the commandline) is supporting
a gds flow.
Check the docu. Setting up the abstract generator isn't trivial.

Hello Kumar,
I think you can streamin the gds to get the layout by using File ->
import -> Stream.. from the icfb.
And then again export the LEF for your streamed in layout by using
File -> export -> LEF.
In the LEF out form specify the layout name by using the option cells
in design.
Maybe other chaps could give a better solution.

One more thing Kumar in the File -> Export -> LEF out form there is
option Cell List File Name : In that option specify the filename that
contains the cell names that you want to LEF out in the format
LibraryName Cellview viewname.
