How to access the photodiode array of the KSS150A laser pic

I'd like to use the photodiode array of this laser pickup (found in
old CD players) in an application sensing the position of a light
beam.

I was not able to find any info about pin connections of this pickup.

Is the photodiode array the chip with 8 pins mounted on a side of the
main pickup unit ?

Regards,

Marco

Yes, you should be able to determine the pinout with amicroscope and
ohmmeter.
