Does anybody know where in the UK I can get hold of 10 Giga Ohm
resistors, which can take at least 30 KV accross them. I know Vishay
make them, as part of their 972 HTS series, but nobody seems to
actually sell them.

It may be a lot easier and cheaper to make it up from several lower value resistors, which are
easier to obtain. RS do a range of cermet plate parts up to 1G and 15KV

The trouble is I need 24 of them. Also, they are being used to provide
an even field to accelerate elctrons in a vacuum. Because of this the
more bits of sharp metal arround, the more the change of sparking
around them.
